Summary:
The Wisconsin coast of Lake Superior… isn’t exactly great for rockhounding. Don’t get me wrong, rocks, minerals, and agates are there. However, the coast is heavy in clay and fallen trees obscuring much of what you’ll find on the beach.
Even as a Wisconsin native, I would encourage you to spend that beach day in nearby Minnesota or Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. With that said, this spot may offer better luck in the Summer. You can get here with any car. (Click the map marker, it has a glitch preventing it from being on the shore)
Video Guide

Nearly the entire Wisconsin coast has large portions that look like this, especially in the Spring.

It leaves behind these neat balls of clay and pebbles.

Wood debris blocks a lot of the dry land between the water and the steep clay shore walls.

Rocks ARE here, and if you're persistent... maybe there's good pockets of them out there. I just didn't come across them at any of the spots I visited.
