Summary:

Short Beach is tucked away on the Northern Oregon coast and is home to some unique, white agates. I do not have many photos from this location, as I visited prior to creating videos.

The agate that can be found here are a clear chalcedony with white bands throughout. I found one about 1/3 the size of my palm by timing the waves.

Be mindful of the ocean. Waves can sneak up exceptionally fast here.

If I could only bring 3 tools…

Chest Waders

I recommend waders only to help stay warm in the cold waters. Be cautious if you plan on going in past your feet - the ocean is unforgiving here.

Agate Scoop

An agate scoop may be beneficial here, but I did not have one when I visited. The waves move very fast and make it tricky.

Classifier

A classifier is helpful if you’re a fan of small agates and stones. One with a larger, 1-inch mesh would be what I’d pick.
