This is a paid dig site. The Diamond Willow Amethyst Mine is one of many that pop up on billboards as you head about an hour East of Thunder Bay, Ontario.

This mine provides buckets and small tools. The mine allowed me to bring my own hammer and chisel, but be sure to check about your tools with them first. When you’re here, try striking rocks along their quartz seams to get clean breaks.

You can get to this area with any vehicle, even though it’s a dirt road to get in.
